TimberNook of Central PA

Sue Ashead, a certified occupational therapy assistant has been devoted to working with children in schools, daycares and camps in a wide variety of roles throughout her career. She participated in a continuing education class done by Angela Hanscom the founder of TimberNook and quickly realized that the TimberNook program not only met the physical, emotional and social needs of children, but was also a lot of fun. Months later TimberNook was still on her mind and she knew it was time to take the leap to become a licensed provider. She spent time this summer training and learning at TimberNook headquarters in New Hampshire.
Sue lives in State College with her husband and teenage daughter and has 2 adult children as well. She enjoys reading, bonfires , trying and learning new things and bringing the joys of outdoor play to children. She is so excited to bring the magic of TimberNook to Central Pennsylvania.
Our site for these upcoming adventures will be the woods and fields of Park Forest Baptist Church in State College. This expansive area with a variety of tree species will welcome the children to explore and imagine.
