This is where the concept of TimberNook was first born, continues to run, and now houses our headquarters and training facility.
Located on 12 acres of wooded land and surrounded by 50 acres of conservation land in the rural town of Barrington, NH. Children have access to woods, giant mud puddles, and a slow moving river to explore.
Angela started TimberNook in 2009 and continues to serve as the Camp Director for the Barrington, NH site. Angela holds a master’s degree in occupational therapy and is the author of Balanced and Barefoot: How Unrestricted Outdoor Play Makes for Strong, Confident, and Capable Children. She regularly travels to schools and organizations speaking on the behalf of children and the importance of outdoor play. The very talented wildlife ecologist and educator, Steve Renner and early childhood expert, Kellie Barr-Foster help to run the programming at this location.
